The Probate process involves collecting and securing the deceased’s assets, paying liabilities and taxes, and distributing property to heirs. The first liability is payment of funeral expenses. We liaise with the deceased's bank to arrange prompt payment of same.

It is helpful, but not essential, to first send (to info@thomasbarry.ie, by fax to +353 1 677 3445 or by post to Thomas Barry & Company, 11 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2) some or all of:
- Copy Death certificate
- Copy Will or foreign Grant of Probate/Administraton
- List of assets of the deceased in the Republic of Ireland
